Crystal Lake Art Center Downtown Frankfort Art Walk 6-9 p.m. Area artists will be in downtown businesses that Friday night with artwork on display. The public is invited to stop by each business and meet the artists. Listing of participating businesses available at the Art Center , 111 10th Street , or the Frankfort Area Chamber of Commerce, 400 Main Street , or any other participating business the night of the Art Walk. Be sure to visit each business to receive a ticket that can be entered into a drawing at the Art Center at the end of the evening. Variety of donated items will be given away at the drawing. You must be present to win items in this drawing. Also will be free wine tasting during the Art Walk at the former Coast Guard Station provided by Leelanau Peninsula Vintners Association. Summer Sounds 2009 series at the Michigan Legacy Art Park featuring Lake Effect 7 pm. Concert takes place in the Art Park's Jessie Frohlich Amphitheatre located within Crystal Mountain , Thompsonville. Lake Effect is one of Michigan 's premiere American roots music bands. As a family band, they have been playing throughout Michigan and points beyond for nearly thirty years.
